Welcome to the online publication Euclid:
The language. The hypertext publication was prepared
using the HTML structuring language with the particular
extensions given to the language by browsers like Netscape;
it is thus viewed properly only under these browsers.
This publication describes briefly the
language Euclid, its purpose in life and its limitations.
A number of examples are given that show the current functionality
of the language. Euclid was created so that transition from
Prolog or CLP languages to the new one would be almost natural;
this way a lot of the syntactic sugar expected from newer
languages is not currently there. On the other hand prolog
or CLP users will feel much at home.
